Principal's Message

Welcome to Lake Superior Elementary!

I am honored to serve as the principal of Lake Superior Elementary. I have had the privilege of working as the building principal at LSE since 2020 and have been an educator for 15+ years in a variety of roles—including classroom teacher, academic dean, RTI coordinator, assistant principal, and now principal.

Throughout my career, I have been driven by a deep commitment to supporting students, families, and staff in creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. At LSE, we are proud to offer a strong academic foundation, a focus on social-emotional development, and a warm school culture where every student is known, valued, and supported.

I truly love both working and living in this community. The partnerships between our families, staff, and broader community are what make LSE such a special place for children to grow and thrive. Thank you for being part of our school family.

Kathleen Thiele, Principal
